Under a new contract with Russia's biggest petrochemical group, MSA will be supplying Class 600 diam. 508 mm metal-to-metal ball valves of shutoff class A. MSA experts have designed valves of this configuration for the first time. They will be shipped to the customer by the end of February.
The new model of isolation valves offers optimal features for reliable operation under high pressure conditions – up to 102 kg/cm2. The high shutoff class (one of the customer's chief requirements) is ensured by thoroughly machining the balls and flanges to within a few micrometers of each other.
“We have been successfully cooperating with the petrochemical group SIBUR on deliveries of MSA valves since 2012. We have manufactured and supplied to the customer several hundred isolation valves priced at more than 10 million euros,” says MSA Management Board Chairman and Rimera Group Executive Director Vladimir Kononov.
