This is the second shipment of equipment for the plant's mechanical shop. Two turning machines priced at 14 million rubles entered service in September 2014 here. The machines have been already ramped up to production capacity: they are currently used to manufacture two dozen parts for engines, pumps, and piston rod protectors.
The milling machines are equipped with modern computer numerical control (CNC) systems that ensure high precision of machining of the finished parts. The new machines are versatile: they support the full range of drilling operations in addition to machining of parts with a complex geometry.
“The upgrade of the machine fleet in the mechanical shop will enable us to increase labor productivity by more than 10%, which is of vital importance under the conditions of a rising output. Last year we managed to double our monthly output from 200 to 400 pumps. This year we intend to solidify our record performance and start working on making our plant more efficient, including by implementing lean production technologies,” says Alnas Executive Director Sergei Sachenko.
Investments toward upgrading the production capacities of Alnas total 2.5 billion rubles. The upgrade program will be completed by 2016.
