Starting from March 1, 2015, payments for fuel at Belarusian filling stations will be made only in the national currency. This new procedure was approved by the Regulation of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus No. 47 of February 3, 2015. This document prohibits the sale of fuel for foreign currency at the filling stations.

Now all payments for fuel at filling stations inBelaruswill be made in Belarusian rubles in cash, or using banking cards (including cards belonging to non-residents of theRepublicofBelarus) or fuel cards.

Regulation No. 47 will be effective till January 1, 2017
