Among other things, the company plans this year to invest 894.8 million rubles into the implementation of measures for the protection of aquatic resources (as compared to 837.9 million rubles in 2014); 485.7 million rubles into the protection of land (as compared to 454.8 million rubles in 2014); 294.4 million rubles into the disposal of industrial wastes (as compared to 275.6 million rubles in 2014); and 148.9 million rubles into atmospheric air protection (as compared to 139.459 million rubles in 2014).
In order to ensure constant readiness for performance of work on the plans of measures to contain and to eliminate the consequences of spills of oil and oil products, the company has established emergency response teams (ERT) in the amount of 37 units with the total number of rescuers of more than 2,700 people. Plans for elimination of consequences of oil and oil product spills have been developed for all the facilities of the company. All the entities of the Transneft, JSC system have been fully equipped with environmental protection equipment, and their ERT are certified and have certificates for implementation of rescue operations related to oil spills, which are issued by departmental boards for certification of rescue services of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
The implementation of environmental strategies, construction and reconstruction of environmental protection facilities, as well as acquisition of environmental protection equipment will ensure that the Company’s production facilities comply with applicable requirements of the current legislation and international treaties of the Russian Federation as well as standards and regulations in the field of environmental management, environmental protection, and environmental safety.
Environmental activities of Transneft, JSC are conducted in accordance with permits, licenses, decisions, and contracts that have been obtained in accordance with applicable provisions of the current legislation of the Russian Federation. All the conditions prescribed in the authorizing documents are strictly enforced.
