Modernized turbine was commissioned at Dneprodzerzhinsk HPP

After commissioning and adjustment works and successful 72 hours warranty test under load unit was transferred to industrial operation.

During commissioning and adjustment works capacity, vibration and cavitation characteristics and also pressure under turbine head cover were tested. All controlled variables are in accordance with norms. This is the sixth of eight hydroturbine of Dneprodzerzhinsk HPP rehabilitated by “Turboatom”.

Under contract concluded in 2012 plant modernized turbine of Dneprodzerzhinsk HPP by installation of new four-blade runner with diameter 9,3 m with modernized blade system. After rehabilitation capacity of hydraulic unit increased form 45,4 MW up to 54 MW, increased efficiency and life-time of turbine.

Range of equipment included parts of distributor, runner, runner chamber, shaft and other mechanisms of turbine.

Enterprise also implemented supervision of erection and commissioning and adjustment.

According to General Designer of Hydroturbines Aleksandr Linnik, management of Dneprodzerzhinsk HPP expressed gratitude to OJSC “Turboatom” successful implemented works at Power Plant. “During warranty testing turbine reached maximum capacity 60 MW it received a good appreciations of operators. Two remained hydrounits also subject of rehabilitation”, he noted.
