Work on the reconstruction of the pipeline at the site began in November 2014 after the in-line inspection of the Anzhero-Sudzhensk – Krasnoyarsk OTPL, which revealed a number of defects in the oil trunk pipeline. In order to eliminate these defects, project documentation for the implementation of reconstruction of the linear section of this pipeline has been developed.
Currently, welding and assembly work on the first facility of the reconstructed pipeline is underway. Welds have been insulated with the use of heat-shrinkable sleeves; the oil trunk pipeline string has been laid in a trench; backfilling has been performed; and preparation for hydraulic testing in the stretch of nearly 6 km has begun.
After completion of strength and airtightness testing, as well as performance of profile logging, the reconstructed section will be docked with the oil trunk pipeline and connected to the main pipeline system. Completion of work is scheduled for June 2015. A mandatory stage of oil trunk pipeline reconstruction will be technical and biological reclamation of the territory of the above work.
At the same time, the reconstruction of the linear section in another Mariinsk – Kashtan area with a length of 21 km is underway (the second facility). To date, 12 km of the linear section of the oil trunk pipeline has been welded. Also, 11 km of the pipeline has been laid into the trench. In accordance with the work plan, it is still necessary to complete welding and assembly work, replace the four gate valves, install the section of the pipeline through a railway crossing with the use of the horizontal directional drilling method.
Next, hydraulic testing and in-line inspection of the pipeline string will also be performed with the use of a caliper. Completion of the reconstruction of the second part of the Mariinsk – Kashtan section of the Anzhero-Sudzhensk – Krasnoyarsk oil trunk pipeline is scheduled for November 2015.
Reconstruction of two sections with a total length of 27 km is performed as part of the Technical Upgrading, Revamping, and Overhaul (TUR&OH) Program adopted by Transneft, JSC.
In the fall of 2015, the specialists of the Novosibirsk Regional Oil Pipeline Department will start the reconstruction of another Kashtan – Achinsk part of the linear section of the Anzhero-Sudzhensk – Krasnoyarsk OTPL.
Reconstruction of the linear section of the oil and oil product trunk pipelines (OTPL and OPTPL) is performed by Transneft Western Siberia, JSC in order to improve the safety of pipeline transport facilities, to ensure their safe operation, and to increase the capacity of OTPL and OPTPL.
