AFRIKANTOV OKBM will carry out the design project for the experimental reactor for Indonesia

The international team which  worked on the tender offer from the consortium included representatives of the company Rusatom – International Network, JSC AFRIKANTOV OKBM (part of the machine-building division of Rosatom – Atomenergomash) and Federal State Unitary Enterprise Research Institute Scientific Development and Production Center Luch, as well as German company NUKEM Technologies GmbH (subsidiary of State Corporation Rosatom), and Indonesian companies Rekayasa Engineering and Kogas Driyap Consultan.

The unique complex of expertise, based predominantly on the experience of JSC AFRIKANTOV OKBM with the design and engineering of modular high-temperature gas cooled reactors which has been performed by the company since 1980, enabled the preparation and provision of a commercially attractive offer and the achievement of a high approval rating from the Indonesian customer.

It is expected that the general designer will be JSC Atomproekt, JSC AFRIKANTOV OKBM will design the project of the reactor assembly, NUKEM Technologies GmbH will deal with the elaboration of matters connected with the fuel constituent part, and Rekayasa Engineering and Kogas Driyap Consultan will design the project of the site of the future experimental reactor with connection to the location site. The final decision on the scope of works participants will be taken in the nearest future.
