The project is implemented under a subcontract agreement with Yuzhmorgeologia (ownership of the government-owned research center is being transferred to Rosgeologia).
The company received the license to conduct the study under a government contract upon the public tender organized by Rosnedra (Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency). The client is the Department of Subsoil Resource Management for the Central-Siberian District.
Gravimetric Expedition No. 3 has completed 400 line kilometers of gravimetric and magnetic observations, as well as underlying topographic surveys.
By the end of the year, plans call for studying the deep geological structure of Proterozoic and Paleozoic sediments of the northern slide of the Anabar Anteclise, assessing their oil and gas generating properties, and studying the deep horizons of the structural interconnections of the Prianabar, Khatanga and Lena Anabar troughs. A total of 500 km of 2D CDP surveys and 500 km of MT and near-field time-domain electromagnetic sounding will be accomplished.
The holding company’s entities are to submit their final reports with recommendations on further prospecting in the region by the end of 2016.
