Izhorskiye Zavody Delivers VVER-1000 Reactor Vessel for the Power Unit Number 4 of Rostov NPP

The reactor vessel will be transported from Izhorskiye Zavody to the freight dock in Ust-Slavyanka at the Neva River. From there it will be delivered to the customer’s facility by waterway.

Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13.5 km from the city of Volgodonsk. Two power units are currently operated at the plant. Power unit 1 was put into operation in 2001; power unit 2 was launched in December, 2010. Construction of units 3 and 4 is currently underway.

In 2013 Izhorskiye Zavody delivered equipment for the power unit number 3 to Rostov NPP.
