On May 22, 2015 the underground drilling crew of #3 MDaUM at the S.M. Kirov mine drilled 564 meters per day with a VLD 1000A drill unit equipped with a specialization system. This is a new world record. The previous record, confirmed by the equipment manufacturer, was established by the same team at the beginning of February 2014. Then the miners drilled 504 meters per day. Evgeniy Yutyaev, CEO of OJSC «SUEK-Kuzbass» congratulated the company with the victory: «World-class result is achieved in difficult geological conditions of underground rock drilling with high gas separation. This confirms once again the skill and determination of the Management miners in the effective use of the most modern drilling equipment». VLD 1000А machine was bought in 2011 and is used at the S.M. Kirov mine for effective integrated degassing using directional drilling degasification boreholes.
