This strategic program of the two major companies will signify a new era of partnership that started in 2006 when Power Machines manufactured the first sample alternating current electric motor for the BELAZ mine truck with lifting capacity of 136 tonnes (KTE-136). In 2007 the companies have concluded a partnership agreement for provision of electric traction motor for large dump trucks and rendering of accessorial services.
As of today, Power Machines have manufactured 245 sets of motors for BELAZ mine trucks with lifting capacity of 90, 136, 160 and 240 tonnes. At the present time, at the Chernigovets outcrop mine take experimental tests of drive engineering package for BELAZ dump truck with lifting capacity of 360 tonnes, along with experimental tests of front-end loader with scoop volume of 11.5 m3 and KTE-11.5 engine at the BELAZ testing ground. Besides, Power Machines are developing a unique motor for a dump truck with 450-tonnes lifting capacity announced by their Belorussian partners.
