A supply contract for four 80 MW hydropower units for Nizhne-Bureyskaya HPP was signed between Nizhne-Bureyskaya HPP OJSC (RusHydro’s subsidiary) and Power Machines OJSC in October 2013.
Pursuant to the contract, Power Machines OJSC shall design, manufacture and supply four sets of hydropower equipment to the customer, each set consisting of an adjustable-blade hydroturbine completed with an automatic control system, a hydrogenerator with an excitation system, along with auxiliary equipment for the hydropower unit. In addition, Power Machines OJSC will install the hydropower units at the HPP.
The hydropower units of Nizhne-Bureyskaya HPP are scheduled for commissioning in 2016. Design capacity of the plant will amount to 320 MW, with annual gross generation of 1,650,000 KWh.
Specific features of this project include environmentally safe design of the hydroturbines – the hydroturbines’ runner cavity is designed oil-free, so that oil leaks into water are eliminated.
The following components have so far been delivered to the HPP construction site: first hydropower unit, stator for the first hydropower unit, excitation system (3 sets), hydroturbine equipment units: embedded pipelines (3 sets), mounting tools for linings and embedded parts, flared suction tube linings (4 sets), turbine stator (4 sets), scroll linings (4 sets), turbine pit linings (4 sets), runner chamber (3 sets) and turbine automation equipment (1 set).
Currently pit linings and embedded hydroturbines are being constructed on the all four of the power units of the HPP construction site.
