All operations to cut out and replace two pipe sections (dismantling, sealing, steaming, assembly and welding) were performed by the staff of the Kaltasy Central Maintenance Department (CMD) of Arlan Oil Pipeline Department. Flaw-detection inspectors of the Specialized Department for Emergency Prevention and Response (SDEPR) ensured careful control of welded joints.
The work that involved 30 people and 10 units of equipment will improve the reliability of the trunk pipeline operation and the environmental safety of oil pumping.
Ufa metering station was commissioned in 2005, replacing three previously existing PMS. It is one of the most advanced in the Transneft, JSC system. Currently, Ufa PMS is a gateway, through which oil from Bashkortostan and Western Siberia simultaneously proceeds to three Ufa refineries.
