Before putting into service of 28-km offshoot of Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline system, belonging to Transneft, JSC, raw materials were delivered to the refinery in tank cars by rail.
As Robert Galiev, Director General of Transneft Far East, LLC informed, according to application filed by the refinery, the amount of commercial supply in 2015 to Khabarovsk Refinery will be equal to approximately 1.6 million tons.
It is planned that after putting the offshoot into service 5 million tons of oil will be delivered annually through Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline system to Khabarovsk Refinery, and from 2019 – up to 6 million tons annually.
For the purpose of providing for supplies of the declared amount of oil Transneft specialists increased flow capacity of ESPO-1 pipeline system and additionally put into service a pump house on oil pump station No. 34 –point of the offshoot connection to Khabarovsk Refinery.
Besides, for organization of uninterrupted and accident-free oil transportation through the offshoot specialists of Transneft Far East, LLC beforehand conducted modernization of the existing management and control systems, installed additional protection systems, organized technological, dispatching connection for transfer of information to the existing system of control for the main pipeline ESPO-2.
