Thus, installation of the device for specifying of planned-high-altitude position of oil pipeline (UOV), drilling and infrastructure development of thermometrical boreholes are performed.
These measures allow providing additional control for the condition of the second stage of Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean Pipeline System at the sites with multi-year frozen grounds, in the zones subject to thermokarst development.
Terrestrial rocks where depergelation and melting of ground ice may take place present potential danger for the oil pipeline technical condition: ground subsidence due to changing of its temperature conditions may lead to local pipeline shifting. In order to prevent potentially hazardous conditions specialists of the enterprise will be able to fix information on high-altitude position of oil trunk pipeline, alteration of temperature areola around the pipeline and forecast its position with the help of the devices for height finding and thermal detectors.
Devices for height finding are mounted directly to the pipeline axle. With the help of special satellite receiver each UOV is connected to bench marks, installed along the oil trunk pipeline and having exact position coordinates. Coordinates measurements on each UOV are performed quarterly. Analysis of statistical data will allow specifying possible alterations of actual position of the pipeline in ground. It is planned that by the end of 2015 93 devices for height finding will be installed at ESPO-2 oil pipeline axle.
Thermometrical boreholes are settled along linear portion of oil pipeline ESPO-2; they are equipped with portable or stationary electric temperature sensors. Thermometrical boreholes provide control for temperature conditions of grounds with accuracy 0.1 °С.
