Comments:

Klaus-Dieter Beck, Member of Board of Directors: The operating results for the first nine months of 2015 demonstrate that SUEK sustains its leadership position on the Russian thermal coal market. The growth in domestic sales in January-September was stimulated by increased demand for coal from Russian power generating companies due to lower levels of rivers and, as a result, a decrease in electricity generation by hydro power plants. Additionally, the launch of new power generating units built under power capacity supply agreements also supported the domestic demand for coal, including the brands produced by SUEK.

Stefan Judisch,  Member of Board of Directors: Growth in global thermal coal demand in the first three quarters of 2015 was restrained by slowing Chinese economic growth. Access to the most efficient logistics routes both to western and eastern markets enabled SUEK to increase international sales by 3% in the reporting period combining supplies from its own mining units and coal volume purchased from the third party producers as part of its trading activities.”
