Electric motors, valves, lube oil system, microprocessor automatic equipment systems, firefighting and fire alarm systems were tested during the commissioning. Ventilation, heating and electric supply systems of the pump station and associated equipment were also connected. Previous pump station had been operated since 1963 and undergone several stages of technical re-equipment reached the end of its specified service life and will be disassembled.
Kovali PS of Transneft Kama Region, JSC transfers the oil through Almetyevsk-Gorky-2 and Almetyevsk-Gorky-3 trunk oil pipelines having the total length of 167 km and serves a section of Kholmogory - Klin trunk line of 141 km in length – 308 km of line portion in total. Two pump stations, control room, substation, water intake facility, automatic fire suppression station, sections of the production service shop, section of underwater engineering operations, and an environmental control laboratory are located in the territory of PS. PS Kovaly transfers the oil in 24/7 mode.
