Transneft' Delegation Visited Sakhalin Energy Facilities

The event was held according to the agreements reached at the meeting of Transneft, JSC Management Committee and the British-Dutch Shell on March 5, 2015.

The visit is aimed at getting acquainted with Sakhalin Energy’s leading developments in pipeline operation and use of the cutting-edge information technologies, at examining the hydrocarbon transportation and shipment infrastructure.

Transneft, JSC professionals visited Sovetskoye emergency response department where they examined the production site of the linear portion of Trans-Sakhalin pipeline system and a warehouse with local emergency oil spill (LEOS) equipment. The delegation also visited Prigorodnoye facility that comprises a LNG plant and an oil shipment terminal.

Based on visits to the production facilities, a round-table conference took place where the two companies’ specialists exchange experience.

The presentations on the following subjects were submitted: Sakhalin Energy Health, Safety and Environment System; Hydrocarbon Accounting Metrological Support, Automated Process Control System at Sakhalin Energy Facilities; Application of Information Security Technologies for Corporate Solutions at Sakhalin Energy, Emergency Response: Professional and Non-Professional Emergency Response Units. Transneft, JSC professionals also made presentations on the Company’s business on similar subjects.
