The delegation has arrived to inspect the factory’s production capabilities and determine, whether or not Sumy NPO’s competence level is enough to consider the Company a potential supplier of processing equipment for a big project called EFRA.
EFRA (Efficient Refining) is one of the biggest projects that Grupa Lotos plans to implement in the nearest future. Specifically, the Polish representatives noted during their communications with the Company’s specialists that its implementation should allow them to produce nearly 900 thousands tones of high-quality petroleum products a year (primarily diesel and aviation fuel). Therefore, the Polish guests are extremely interested in choosing reliable manufacturers which would meet all of their requirements and make the concept come to life. In particular, as per the opinion of the customer company’s representatives, Sumy NPO can be one of the suppliers of a range of processing equipment.
The delegation from Poland studied in detail the enterprise’s line of products and visited the chemical equipment, gas-pumping units and compressors production facilities. Also, the guests visited a testing bench unit in the exhibition complex and spoke to the lead specialists of the Special Design Bureau. The Grupa Lotos representatives stated that they were satisfied by what they had seen, and thus negotiations regarding the participation of Sumy machine-builders in EFRA will commence.
Alexei Tsymbal, the General Director of Sumy NPO, said that the path to the European market is a difficult one for Ukrainian manufacturers. “There are many obstacles for enterprises with no European references. But we keep working hard and proving to the potential partners that they can do business with us, that our products will serve them reliably for a long time. We hope that this meeting with our Polish colleagues will open new opportunities for us”, – added the Head of the Association.
