Transneft Upper Volga implements measures on increase of diesel fuel export as part of Sever Project

Ноября 12, 2015

Transneft Upper Volga, JSC continues works on increase of diesel fuel supplies for export through Baltic Pipeline System (BPS) towards Oil Port Primorsk as part of Sever Investment Project.

For this purpose BPS section from Kirishi to Primorsk was redesigned for oil products pumping. In accordance with the project alteration of the existing freight traffic system of Transneft Upper Volga, JSC is planned – transfer to diesel fuel transportation from Gorky pipe-end pump station (PEPS) of Lukoil - Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez, LLC through Vtorovo booster pump station (BPS) (Vladimir Region) to Yaroslavl line operation dispatcher station (LODS).

Diesel fuel supplies for export are increased under the condition of reconstruction of trunk pump stations (PS) which were earlier involved only in oil transportation. In 2017 Gorky - Yaroslavl oil trunk pipeline (OTP) will be reconstructed for diesel fuel transportation; Surgut – Polotsk OTP will continue oil pumping for export.

Works on the project are performed simultaneously at four facilities: Zalesie OTP (Ivanovo Region), Vtorovo BPS (Vladimir Region), Stepankovo OTP and Starolikeevo-4 PEPS (Nizhny Novgorod Region).

At the present time reconstruction of Zalesie OTP and Vtorovo BPS is coming to end. Feeding and pressure sections of oil products pipeline were built at the specified stations, pumps were replaced, re-piping of industrial pipelines was performed. Amount of performed works at the facilities is equal to 90%.

Besides, in Nizhny Novgorod Region works on reconstruction of Stepankovo OTP continue –an oil pump house was reconstructed. Construction of a feeding pipeline to a new facility was finished at Starolikeevo-4 PEPS.
