15 technical solutions are planned to be patented; among them there is a method of fixed support installation to design position with a possibility to regulate high-altitude position in the process of operation; fixed pipeline support, movable pipeline support and its supporting node.
Among the solutions prepared to patenting there is a method of heat insulation of welded joints of preinsulated pipes upon subsurface pipelining; a method of fire-fighting and heat insulation of welded joints of preinsulated pipes upon above-ground pipelining.
Besides, the company expects to patent a method of steel piles assembling at permafrost soil; piles foundation for development of supports of overhead power lines; a method of development of supports of overhead power lines at permafrost soil; a method of heat insulation of stop valves of pipelines of above-ground pipelining and a heat-insulating device for its implementation.
As well a unique device for temperature stabilization of permafrost soil, a method of tanks heat insulation; a heat-insulated tank; a method of pipeline welding from high-strength pipes with controlled heat input and a method of control for position of pipeline supports upon above-ground pipelining under the conditions of permafrost are subject to patenting.
Patenting will be performed in patent offices of the USA, Canada and European Patent Office (for Germany).
Transneft, JSC is already experienced with technical solutions patenting abroad. The company has obtained the USA patent for the invention “Method of obtaining anti-turbulence suspended addition, decreasing hydrodynamic resistance of hydrocarbon liquids” (registration date – July 07, 2015). The application of the same name is now passing a patenting procedure in Germany.
All applications subject to patenting in the USA, Canada and European Patent Office have passed an international processing phase provided for by the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
Transneft, JSC plans to patent the specified solutions as regards Zapolyarie – Purpe oil pipeline by the end of 2016. The supporting fund for research and project activities of students, post-graduate students and young scientists “National Intelligence” (NI fund) will render corresponding services to the company.
The purpose of construction of Zapolyarie – Purpe oil pipeline with capacity up to 45 million tons is to ensure receiving oil from new fields of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area and the North of Krasnoyarsk Territory to the oil trunk pipelines system for further supply to refineries of the RF (Russian Federation) and for export.
Zapolyarie – Purpe oil trunk pipeline is located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area of Tyumen Region, general direction of the route is from the North to the South. Besides the Arctic climate, the construction area is characterized with very difficult geological conditions: extended permafrost soil sections, weak soil and heaving soil.
Taking into account flow properties of oil mixtures, planned to be pumped, having high solidification temperature up to+17 °С and high viscosity, oil heating up to +60 °С is provided for in the heating points located along the oil pipeline route. Considering that subsurface pipelining of “hot” oil pipeline at permafrost soil sections results in forming large defrosting areolas around the oil pipeline with appearing watered zones along the pipe, the main method of pipelining is above-ground. This method provides minimal violation of engineering and permafrost conditions and in general decreases the danger of appearing and developing dangerous exogenic processes.
