Transneft Siberia Upgrading Oil Leakage Detection System of Ust-Balyk – Omsk Oil Pipeline

OLDS is being upgraded according to the joint stock company development program.

During the technical upgrading, the oil leakage detection system that has been in operation since 2004 will be replaced with a Russian-built cutting-edge software/hardware facility. To improve the precision of coordinates determination and to accelerate the system response to a potential leakage at oil pump stations (NPS) of Vagai, Voznesenka, Abatskaya of Ishim Oil Trunk Pipeline Department, three 1,020 mm pipeline manholes (PM) with ultra-sound will be installed. Ishim regional dispatcher station is to be fitted up with modern, backup server equipment.

According to the project, the oil leakage detection system in Ust-Balyk – Omsk oil trunk pipeline is to be commissioned by November 1, 2016.
