Ferrostaal intends to cooperate with PJSC “Sumy NPO”

German specialists’ visit to the company is an opportunity to study the technical and manufacturing competence of Sumy engineers, to find out whether the company corresponds to their stringent requirements and then decide whether Sumy NPO can be drawn to the reconstruction of the CS "Bar" and other objects of Ukrainian GTS.

As Bogdan Sumchenko, senior manager of Overseas Sales Division, says, according to the contract with "Ukrtransgaz", signed in 2013, Ferrostaal Industrieanlagen together with Deutsche Bank is currently engaged in the modernization of the CS, "Bar", which is part of the main gas pipeline "Soyuz".

"For over year our company has sought to convince key contractors that the experience and skill of Sumy engineers may be useful to them and that our products are exactly what they need. Numerous meetings, negotiations, presentations were held... A few months ago we were visited by technicians of the German company, but now top managers of Ferrostaal headed by Mr. Volratom, Managing Director, came to Sumy NPO to study its potential capacity.", - Mr. Sumchenko said.

Potential customers visited turbo-compressor packages and compressors production facility, nuclear power pumps and accessory equipment production facilities, inspected powerful units of test benches. In addition, guests have communicated with specialists of PJSC "Ukrhimproekt" and Subsidiary Enterprise “Drill Collars and Kellys Plant”.

On the results of staying in the company, Mr. Volrat expressed the general opinion of the whole delegation, noting that PJSC "Sumy NPO" is one of the most unique industrial complexes in Europe. "Engineering and technical and production potential of the enterprise can be integrated not only in the CS "Bar" reconstruction, but also in other specialized projects", - Managing Director of Ferrostaal Group concluded.

As for the "Bar" station, now the general contractor considers Sumy NPO as a supplier of certain types of equipment and services. In particular, Sumy engineers are manufacturing fire-fighting systems, emergency protection, sets of process valves, etc. In addition, negotiations on the implementation of equipment installation by the specialists of the company are being held.
