Turboatom manufactured main equipment for Kremenchug HPP (Ukraine)

At PJSC "Turboatom" completed production of main equipment of the third of three hydroturbines for Kremenchug HPP (station No 8).

Specialists manufactured and tested runner, parts of distributor, parts of turbine shaft, oil head and embedded parts.

According to Head of Production and Dispatch Department of PJSC "Turboatom" Dmitro Zdor, in April, all equipment will be packed and shipped to power plant. Under manufacture are units of modernization of turbine, on which work will be completed in 2016.

Under contract signed in July 2011 PJSC "Turboatom" implement rehabilitation of three Kaplan type hydroturbines with rated capacity of 58 MW with replacement of runners with diameter of 8 m, shafts of hydroturbines, wicket gates and bearings. As a result of implemented works capacity of each unit will increase to 64 MW. Also, service life and overhaul period of equipment will be increased.

In 2015 was commissioned the first turbine (station No 7), the second (station No 9) is under installation, and the third (station No 8) – under manufacture.
