Under the contract, experts of the Russian energy systems machine-building company will also supervise the installation of the supplied equipment.
The contract signing was preceded by a tender announced by SES Tlmace. The supply is scheduled to start in 2Q 2017 and to end in 2Q 2018.
"We think that this contract is very advantageous for Power Machines", Roman Philippov, Power Machines General Director, comments on the deal. He says: "Cuban power facilities require overhaul, and our company can meet these needs to the full, because we have the required technical and design capabilities, and experience in working with the network industrial frequency of 60 Hz, which is very important for our Cuban partners."
The Group companies already dealt with supplies of equipment to Cuba. For example, Electrosila supplied turbogenerators to Rente TPP, New Havana TPP, and Maximo Gomez TPP, while Kaluga Turbine Works manufactured and shipped more than 70 turbine plants for power units of production enterprises' TPPs to Cuba. Later on, maintenance service for turbogenerators with the capacity from 50 to 100 MW became the main activity of Power Machines in this market.
