Unipro increased power generation by 3.3% in January–September 2016

Over the 9 months of 2016, the power plants of Unipro PJSC have generated 39.9 bln kWh, which is 3.3% more compared to the same period of 2015.

The electricity sales reached 42.8 bln kWh in January–September of 2016 (+5.4% compared to the previous year).

The generation volume growth for the reference period was driven by the increase in production by Surgutskaya GRES (+9.2%) due to the involvement of Unit 4 that was under repair in the same period of 2015. The generation volume of Berezovskaya GRES, Yaivinskaya GRES and Smolenskaya GRES decreased as a result of changes in repair schedules and downtime of the generating equipment placed on cold reserve.

The heat generation volume totalled 1,321,000 Gcal in January–September of 2016 (+2% compared to the 2015 indicators). The growth was caused by the weather conditions.
