Baydaratskaya CS, the northernmost station in the world, the first station of the Bovanenkovo – Ukhta pipeline route, is located 3 km far from the Baydaratskaya Bay.
Six GPUs (GPA-16М-07 Ural) were installed at the Compressor Shop #2 resulting in the total capacity of 96 MW, thus twice increasing the capacity of Baydaratskaya CS, up to 192 MW. As part of the Project several power facilities were constructed for Compressor Shop #2, including power station’s capacity expansion up to 10.5 MW, installation of 1000 kVA packaged transformer substation (PTS) in the power-generating unit, two sets of PTS for air cooling (630 kVA), diesel power station (1,000 kW), power and automation network. Water supply and sewerage networks have been also built and equipped with sewage pumping station. The Compressor Shop #2 was equipped with a technical security equipment set.
Let us recall that the Compressor Shop #1 has been constructed in 2012 by the same company, Lengazspetsstroy.
The construction of Baydaratskaya compressor station was carried out in the Far North conditions, far from inhabited areas, in specific environmental and climatic zone characterized by lack of infrastructure.
