"Turboatom" submitted to customer equipment for Zaporizhzhya NPP (Ukraine)

To customer were submitted after final manufacture 6 modules of condenser of casing No 2. In process of acceptance, was carried out check of welding and defectoscopy, control assembly of modules, its geometry and correctness of gaps were checked. In addition, representatives of power plant checked water chambers, covers and walls. Equipment is on packaging and is preparing for shipment.

For unit No. 3 of Zaporizhzhya NPP, "Turboatom" will manufacture and supply condenser of "block-modular" type with stainless steel pipe system that will replace condenser with a copper-nickel alloy pipe system of turbine K-1000-60 / 1500-2 with capacity 1000 MW.

Replaced equipment has been in operation at NPP since 1986. New condenser will allow turbine unit to operate at rated power with changes in temperature of cooling water, increase capacity and extend life of unit.
