Completion of manufacturing and shipment of equipment, according to the contract, are envisaged in December 2018.
HPP Largi was launched in Kullu Valley in 2007. It consists of two dams with difference of pounds about 65 m. Water intake is above upper dam, water enters three tunnels cut through the rocks, and 7 km downstream it enters turbine building of power plant, returning back to the river after that. Three hydroelectric units allow generating capacity of plant over 126 MW.
Engineering and manufacturing company BHEL belongs to Government of India and is based in New Delhi. It is the largest manufacturer of equipment for power plants in country.
