Among the principal criteria in selecting the best medium size and small business enterprises, according to the prize organizers, Benchmark Trust, are: customer focus, innovation, financial result, continuous improvement and efficiency as well as implementation of high technology development and expanding the foot print in the region where the company is present. Proportion of the small and medium businesses among the Indian enterprises in 2017 amounted to 37%. And, in the opinion of the prize sponsors, their percentage is still growing.
Since the 1960-s, the Power Machines incorporated companies, have been taking part in several dozens of projects in such sectors as thermal, nuclear and hydroelectric power generation in India, including Madras NPP, Tehri Hydro Electric Power Plant, Balimela Hydro Electric Power Plant, Loktak Hydro Electric Power Plant, Obra Combined Heat and Power Plant, Kahalgaon Combined Heat and Power Plant, Kudankulam NPP. Since 2008, the two major construction projects of thermal electric power plants “on turnkey” basis in the country’s territory, the representative offices of Power Machines Publicly Traded Company have been operating on the site of Sipat Combined Heat and Power Plant and Bark Combined Heat and Power Plant, as well as the subsidiary company “Power Machines (India) Limited”, whose Russian language name is «Силовые машины (Индия) Лтд» (Power Machines (India) Ltd).
At the present time, two projects - Barh Combined Heat and Power Plant and Kudankulam NPP - are at the stage of active implementation.
