Gazregion started construction of the compressor station on October 25, 2017. A construction camp and a concrete production plant were deployed in the immediate vicinity of the construction site.
Right from the start, the builders work with good pace, therefore all the work is done ahead of schedule. In a short period of time, the foundations have been prepared at the production and power supply unit, and work has begun on the installation of metal structures. Foundation works are conducted at other ten sub-facilities of the station. Alongside this works, construction of a permanent access road from CS-7a Zeyskaya to Gas Pipeline Management Directorate No. 5 is under way.
CS-7a Zeyskaya is located 18 km north of the town of Svobodny in the Amur Region and is intended for gas transportation from the Chayandinskoye oil and gas condensate field via the the Power of Siberia main gas pipeline.
GPUs of different capacities will be used at the compressor station: 3 gas-compressor units with a capacity of 32 MW and 2 GCU with a capacity of 16 MW each will be installed. The combination of large and small capacities will provide a flexible control of the operating mode of the compressor station.
CS-7a Zeyskaya will be the first commissioned linear compressor station in the phased development of the Power of Siberia main gas pipeline.
