Power Machines will begin to produce electric motors for the pumping units of nuclear power plants

Power Machines has received licenses from Rostekhnadzor (Russian Technical Supervisory Authority) to develop and manufacture electric motors for pumping units in nuclear power plants. It is anticipated that the first production samples will be released around the end of 2019.

During the licensing process, Power Machines affirmed that it was able to develop and manufacture specialised electric motors of safety classes 2 and 3 in order to satisfy the requirements as specified in federal standards and regulations covering the field of nuclear energy use.

The company is already preparing for the production of the new product, creating working design documentation for an asynchronous electric motor for driving a feed-water pump.
