This document provides for cooperation in the area of cutting re-injection services provision. For the first time ever in the Sakhalin-2 history, a Russian company will be providing these services at the Project offshore platforms.
A technically complex project as Sakhalin-2 is being implemented on the basis of well-elaborated and efficient Industrial Safety Management System. The Company is operating in compliance with Russia's industrial safety standards and as per international practices of their partners – Sakhalin Energy’s foreign shareholders.
Sakhalin Energy re-injects cuttings and waste water from the platform, which is the most safe, environmentally friendly and cost efficient method as compared to conventional methods of waste disposal.
Roman Dashkov noted at the ceremony that the signed Letter of Intent was important not only in the context of adverse environmental impact risk mitigation. The planned cooperation is especially important for the import substitution projects; it will contribute to the Sakhalin-2 Russian Content development, increased supplies of good quality competitive local products and growth of new safe technologies.
