Currently the personnel is performing the commissioning works on the fourth combined cycle gas turbine. According to the plan, construction of the plant will be completed in Q1, 2019.
Power unit No.3 of the Pregolskaya TPP has successfully passed the certification tests. During 72-hour testing period, the combined cycle gas turbine operated at maximum and minimum load, it was unloaded to the lower capacity limit, passed the load increase and load shedding test. Besides, stable operation of the equipment for 8 hours at the process minimum load was confirmed, as well as testing for allocated area was successful.
After testing was completed on November 29, the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Neclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) issued a conclusion on the compliance of the commissioned facilities with the project documentation, technical regulations and normative legal acts, including energy efficiency requirements. On December 3, the Agency for Architecture, Urban Development and Prospective Development of the Government of Kaliningrad Region issued a permit for commissioning the Power Unit No.3 of the Pregolskaya TPP.
Construction of 454 MW Pregolskaya TPP comprising four combined cycle gas turbines began in July 2016. The major equipment of the plant was manufactured by the Russian companies. Each power unit includes 6F.03 gas turbine manufactured by Russian Gas Turbines LLC (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region), a generator (Elsib, Novosibirsk), a steam turbine (PJSC Power Machines, Kaluga) and a heat recovery steam generator (JSC Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk, Podolsk, Moscow Region). The facility is equipped with dry fan cooling towers.
