One of the stages in the implementation of this project was the development of design documentation for the regenerative air preheater, which was carried out by the specialists of PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik”. The developed equipment is not just an analogue of the RAPH that has exhausted its performance potential - it is an up-to-date, more efficient product required by the customer.
In particular, the specialists of TKZ made a number of changes to the regenerative air preheater design, which will positively affect the boiler efficiency. For instance, plates of axial seals and a lever seal control system were installed - such design solutions will reduce the air flow into flue gases. Two electromechanical drives are also provided - they will ensure continuous RAPH operation.
In addition, more resistant to corrosion 10ХСНД steel was used in the manufacture of equipment, which, in turn, will affect the service life of the regenerative air preheater. At the same time, at the request of the customer, the mounting dimensions of the RARH have been kept as much as possible to ease the erection - this will allow in a short time to connect new equipment to the gas-air ducts installed at the plant.
Currently, a new regenerative air preheater has been delivered to the station. It is scheduled to put this equipment into operation by the end of 2022. Due to the erection and operation of this RAPH, the service life of ТГМ-84 Boiler, manufactured by PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” in 1964, will be extended.
