“Engineering Center UES” held negotiations with Indian companies

Negotiations were held between Director of Era Infra Engineering limited Mr. Khushu, Deputy Director General of JSC “EC UES” for international projects Vladimir Valyuk and representatives of JSC “EC UES” branches- “Institute Teploelectroproject” and “Firm ORGRES”.
During the meeting, the guests had a chance to familiarize with the expertise that JSC “EC UES” branches have gained in design and construction of energy facilities, including their experience as ЕРС-contractor. Deputy Director General of JSC “EC UES” for construction of power grid facilities Alexander Yushin made a short presentation of the basic milestones of technical re-equipment of Ulan-Udenskaya CHPP-1 with replacement of turbo unit Tp-100/110-8,8. For this project, “Engineering Center UES” is the general contractor.
Representatives of the Indian companies visited the office of “Institute Hydroproject” (managed by JSC “EC UES”). In the process of negotiations, the parties discussed foundation of a joint venture for promotion of services rendered by “Engineering Center UES” and its branches in the Indian market.
While assessing the prospects of Russian-Indian cooperation, the Parties highlighted the significance of business interaction under the existing economic conditions in the region where the position of the Russian design and engineering companies has been traditionally strong. The Indian side expressed interest in development of relations with the Russian companies which possess the requisite background for joint participation in projects for construction of thermal power stations, power transmission lines, hydraulic power stations and other energy facilities.
