Atomstroyexport signed the first contract with Bulgarian manufacturer for supply of large-size equipment for NPP «Belene»

The plant will be to produce and supply two transportation lock for reactor compartment of the plant.
For timely delivery of long production cycle equipment to the NPP, «Atomstroyexport» makes contracts with production plants both in Russia and in Europe. This work is performed with participation of authorized Bulgarian experts.
«The agreement with the Bulgarian party supposes that about 30% of total amount of work at construction of NPP „Belene“ will be carried out by Bulgarian firms, — reported vice-president – head of Administration on construction of NPP in Bulgaria of CJSC „Atomstroyexport“ Gennady Tepkyan. – They will have to work jointly on NPP „Belene“ construction project with Russian and European partners — Siemens, Areva, Nukem, GNS».
Bulgaria traditionally participates in cooperation of nuclear machine building. Plant «BESTTEKHNIKA ТМ Radomir» has more than 25-years history of production of large-size equipment, including that for nuclear power plants. Localization of supplies and services in course of construction of NPP «Belene» will allow to increase production capacity of Bulgarian enterprises and will promote further growth of their technological potential.
