TNK-BP Puts in Place Flood Protection Measures at Varyoganneftegaz Fields

Unpaved and log roads on all the company’s fields have been cross-cleaned; crews of road workers are on standby and specialized equipment has been provided; and the status of the floodwaters is being constantly monitored. Most of the work will begin after the snow melts, including deliveries of soil to prevent contamination around cluster sites.
All these measures have been designed to prevent emergency situations, as the weathermen are predicting an abrupt transition from cold to warm weather in the region this year.
