“IDGC of Siberia” will make substations telemechanic

New equipment allows real time tracing of operation of equipment, duly reacting in case of contingency and results in diminishing time needed for recovery of supply at cut-offs and increases the reliability of supply as well.
Telemechanic systems give the opportunity of distance control of equipment operation. In the next five years “IDGC of Siberia” plans to apply the systems said to one third of all the substations of 110 kV.
Deputy Chief engineer of information and communications of “IDGC of Siberia” – Viktor Pereslavsky – believes that integration of the modern telemechanic systems will lead to lowering of expences for maintenance of grids and diminishing of risks of emergencies.
