Leningrad NPP-2: results of work in March of 2010

At the main buildings and constructions of power unit No. 1:
- reinforcement of columns, walls, internal walls of annular floor of reactor building, arrangement of steel coating and reinforcement of concrete reactor vault;
- in the course of mounting of active area molten-core catcher (MCC), MCC body with supports is installed and fastened, mounting of cassettes block No. 1-5 is performed, mounting of cantilever truss of more than 150 weight is being prepared;
- concreting of walls and ceilings of safety building zero circle;
- concreting of zero circle walls, coating of auxiliary building walls and floors of tank premises with rust-resisting steel, mounting of technological tanks is started;
- mounting of pipelines at the buildings of nuclear servicing, concreting of walls till the zero mark;- reinforcement and concreting of «grips» of foundation plate of turbine building (almost 5000m3) is finished;
- concreting of foundation, walls and ceilings of administration building zero cycle;
- reinforcement of foundation plate grips of steaming chamber is performed, technological pipelines are mounted;
- reinforcement and concreting of walls of heating cogeneration building and building of normal operation power supply building were in progress;
- works are in progress on mounting of technological pipelines, waterproofing of unified pump station tanks, works on building of objects of construction bases No. 1 and No. 2, as well as other works.
On construction of evaporative cooling tower No. 1 works on concreting of the 12 tier are finished, reinforcement of the thirteenth tier (of 99) is in progress.
At construction of power unit No. 2:
- in the framework of preparation period, works are being finished on arrangement of sheeted and pipe drainage, with drainage pump and lightning protection grid of turbine «island», similar works are carried out on the nuclear «island».
- reinforcement and concreting of safety building foundation plate is finished (>1800m 3);
- waterproofing works are in process on auxiliary building lean concretes, administration building, buildings of turbine and water preparing;
- works are in progress on reinforcement and concreting of tunnels in FP of turbine building;
- works are in progress on reinforcement of reactor building foundation plate.
In general, at construction site of Leningrad NPP-2 works are carried out at 30 objects in which more than 1 350 employees, 50 vehicles and 80 special devices are engaged.
Construction of Leningrad NPP-2 is included into long-term program of activity of State Corporation «Rosatom» for the period of 2009-2015 years.
Customer builder of the project is JSC «Concern Rosenergoatom».
General contractor and general designer of the project is JSC «Saint-Petersburg scientific-research and project designing institute «Atomenergoproject» (JSC «SPbAEP»).
On 11 June of 2008, Russian Technical Supervisory Authority issued license (No. ГН-02-101-1860) for construction of power unit No. 1 of Leningrad NPP-2 (valid till 31.03.2018).
On 15 July of 2009 Russian Technical Supervisory Authority issued license (No. ГН-02-101-2148) for construction of power unit No. 2 Leningrad NPP-2 (valid till 14.07.2019).
At present, at construction site of Leningrad NPP-2, six main contractual organizations work: CJSC «Concern «Titan-2», JSC «SUS», JSC «Metrostroy», JSC «Trest Hydromontazh», CJSC «EFESk» and JSC SK «Atomspetsstroy».
