Delivery by the consortium of 86 shunt reactors will be the subject of signed contracts, including 43 pcs. (39 rated for 80 МВАr and 4 reactors rated for 110 МВАr, 765 kV) to be manufactured at JSC “Zaporozhtransformator”, the other 43 reactors should be produced according to the JSC “ZTR” technology at CGL factory, Bhopal, India. Delivery of the first lot of 10 reactors rated for 80 МВАr will take place in January, 2011. Completion of deliveries under the contracts is scheduled for March, 2012.
«Within its historical experience exceeding 60 years ZTR has delivered more than 120 units of transformer equipment to India. The aforesaid transformers were designed for Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, for Baglihar HPP and other Power Engineering objects of India, - mentioned Igor Kleyner, General Director of JSC “ZTR”. – However, ZTR was traditionally represented in the Indian market through general contractors, such as Siemens (VSH), Germany, «Atomstroyeksport», Russia and others. For the first time in the history of our enterprise, contracts signed in March, 2010, are concluded directly with the network power company (PGCIL, India). We are very pleased with the renewal of our work in India and with its proceeding under our name and trademark».
Awarding of the Bid to consortium partners of Crompton Greaves Limited and ZTR took place in a hard competitive struggle with Indian and multinational companies and became thereby a significant strategic entry to UHV market (HV equipment). Voltage level 765 kV is the highest one in India.
