Bilibino NPP is being prepared to complex emergency response exercise

Purpose of the visit is checking up of readiness of management bodies, funds and resources to performing of search-and-rescue and other urgent works in case of emergencies at Bilibino NPP; checkup of actuality of Bilibino population protection plan and measures schedule of protection of staff of Bilibino NPP; training of interaction with executive authorities of Chukot autonomous district and municipal entity of Bilibino district on informing of the town population.
In the framework of working visit, meeting was held with participation of representatives of JSC «Concern Rosenergoatom», administration of MEBilibino district and EMERCOM bodies of Russia. In the course of it, execution of «Calendar plan of preparing of complex emergency response exercise at Bilibino NPP» approved by Director General of JSC «Concern Rosenergoatom» was considered.
The main subject of discussion concerned issues on determination of places of performing of practical measures in town ofBilibino. Participants of CERE performed inspection of protected control centers of emergency response actions at Bilibino NPP and in Bilibino town, as well as places of taking of emergency response measures.
At present, at Bilibino NPP protective shelters are equipped and held ready for acceptance of people for protection. Measures on modernization of protected control centers of emergency response actions at Bilibino NPP and in Bilibino town, measures on modernization of local warning and communication system of the nuclear power plant are developed. System of meteorological support is arranged.
Special departmental unit and out-of-staff search-and-rescue units formed at Bilibino NPP are held in permanent readiness. Interaction with executive authorities of Chukot autonomous district and municipal entity of Bilibino district, EMERCOM bodies of Russia and command of the military unit that guards the NPP is organized.
In the pending CERE structural subdivisions of Bilibino NPP, group OPAS JSC «Concern Rosenergoatom» (group of rendering of emergency help to nuclear power plants), Situation and crisis center of State Corporation «Rosatom», Information and analytical center of Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision, sectoral centers of technical support will participate.
In the course of exercise the following will be trained: readiness for actions at conditional accident at Bilibino NPP and interaction with engaged structures of emergency response, as well as practical skills of the staff in performance of measures on organization and execution of works of localization and elimination of emergencies.
