Power Machines OJSC manufactures power generating equipment for Thak Ba HPP (Vietnam)

The contract for manufacturing and delivery of a hydrogenerator stator for Thak Ba HPP was concluded with the Vietnamese main contractor for the plant’s hydro power unit reconstruction, Lilama10 JSC, in 2009. According to the terms of this contract Power Machines are to manufacture and to supply a new stator for a 42 MW generator to this hydroelectric power plant. Besides, the scope of Power Machines’ liability includes supervision services during installation.
The equipment is to be delivered in the second quarter of 2010, and the installation supervision is to be completed in the second quarter of 2011.
Previously, in 2004 – 2006, Power Machines participated in the reconstruction of Thak-Ba HPP, where they successfully performed renovation works at the first and second hydro power units of the plant and increased the capacity of these units from 6 MW to 42 MW.
At present Power Machines company is also engaged in Uong Bi TPP and Playkrong HPP construction projects in Vietnam.
Thak Ba HPP was built in 1976, and its rated capacity is 120 MW. The hydrogenerators installed at the plant were manufactured in 1965 by Electrosila, which is a subsidiary of Power Machines OJSC.
