SOCAR officials met with representatives of Tamoil Company

After sincerely welcoming the guests, SOCAR president mentioned the high-level relations between Azerbaijan and Libya by stating that the affairs of intergovernmental commission and intensive meetings of the companies of both countries result in extensions of these relations. By noting their first visit to Azerbaijan, Isam Zanati expressed his gratitude to SOCAR president for hospitable reception. He stated that Tamoil group represents the interests of his country in foreign projects of Libya while informing about Tamoil group. The guest noted the successful activities of the group mainly in European countries as Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Spain and expressed Company’s interest in cooperation with SOCAR in supplying crude oil and oil products. While mentioning the implemented projects within oil strategy of Azerbaijan and establishment of reliable export transportation pipeline system, SOCAR president informed the guests on large-scale export geography of produced oil, gas, and oil products in Azerbaijan. He stated that at present, the major part of Azerbaijani oil sale is operated by SOCAR-Trading Company in Switzerland and its subsidiary company – SOCAR Trading Singapore. By mentioning wide cooperation opportunities between the two companies, Mr. Rovnag Abdullayev said that mutual cooperation opportunities would be appreciated. The parties had exchange of opinions on other interested issues in the course of the meeting.
