IDGC of the North-West transfers a mobile 110/10/6 kilovolt substation from Vologda to Arkhangelsk

They decided to transfer a mobile 110/10/6 kilovolt substation from Vologda to Arkhangelsk. Chief engineer of JSC “IDGC of the North-West” Georgy Turlov signed the corresponding order.
“A mobile substation is given for the temporary usage to branch of IDGC of the North-West “Arkhenergo” for the period of reconstruction of substation “Privokzalnaya” in  Arkhangelsk which is a closed feeding centre”, - explained Deputy Chief engineer by the operation and technical development Gennady Alexandrov. “A necessity of a mobile substation transfer from Vologda is caused by an existing power deficit in Arkhangelsk. Another way to end restrictions of consumers of the central part of the city is impossible”, - he said .
A relocation of modules of the mobile substation from Vologda to Arkhangelsk will be made by railway. The mobile substation is planned to be launched in August of the current year.
