According to experts of IES-Holding Trading Division, the increase of electric power production in the first three months of 2010 is associated, first of all, with the growth of demand, at average by 5.9 percent depending on Electronic Systems Division. However, in such conditions the load at TGC-5 and TGC-9 power plants did not exceeded indices of the preceding year; as such consumption growth in the regions of their operation was covered, mainly, by means of production of major hydropower plants. In the mid-Volga Electronic Systems Division where TGC-2 primary facilities are located, the increase in power generation by power plants became possible due to reduction of the load at hydropower plants. Increase in TGC-6's figures is associated with a strong growth of consumption in central regions.
The significant increase in heat release is associated, mainly, with subnormal low temperatures in the regions of operation of IES-Holding power plants: in Q1 2009 the temperature was above normal. Furthermore, steam consumption by industrial consumers increased insignificantly. However, according to the estimates of the Trading experts, the consumption history analysis does not make it possible to speak about a stable uptrend.
