The Kemerovo OFAS Russia fined «Novokuznetsk Energy Company» OJSC more than 15 million

The Kemerovo Regional Arbitration Court pronounced legitimacy of the authorization of the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Kemerovo Region (the Kemerovo OFAS Russia) to impose an administrative fine upon «Novokuznetsk Energy Company» OJSC for abusing dominance on the market of electric energy transmission.

«Novokuznetsk Energy Company» OJSC refused to enter into a contract with an individual entrepreneur in Novokuznetsk for providing services for technological connection to the company's electricity networks. Earlier the Kemerovo OFAS Russia twice fined «Novokuznetsk Energy Company» OJSC for similar violations; one of the fines was reversed by the Kemerovo Regional Arbitration Court due to its insignificance.
Having heard the administrative case, the Kemerovo Regional Arbitration Court confirmed legitimacy and justness of the fine.
The total size of the fine is 15,945,954 Rubles.
