"Turboatom" and power companies of India discussed perspectives of cooperation

During visit specialists of the plant hold negotiations with management National Corporation on nuclear power of India NPCIL and company Larsen&Toubro Limited (L&T).
Parties discussed perspectives of cooperation in the sphere of power engineering. During negotiations was discussed about updating of nuclear power stations of India, where were installed turbines with capacity 235 MW, manufactured by Indian manufacturer of power equipment (BHEL). Reconstruction of active plants will be directed to capacity increase, economy and effectiveness. Also the matter was discussed about participating "Turboatom" in deliveries of turbo sets with capacity 700 MW for perspective NPP in India – in plans of government building 8-10 nuclear power units.
With company Larsen&Toubro Limited was signed report of cooperation. According to this document “Turboatom” and L&T will create consortium for getting orders on hydro turbines delivery for Indian HPP, building of which will begin during nearest three years. In particular: HPP Sikkim, where will be installed four turbines with capacity 75 MW, HPP Gilaymuk – summary capacity of the plant will be 1500 MW, HPP Arunchal Pradesh – three turbines with capacity 200 MW, HPP Tavang – four turbines with capacity 200 MW, HPP Viyasy – two turbines with capacity 60 MW and other. – Total 38 projects. Indian and Ukrainian Company are planned to adopt 45 % of hydro power market of India.
Agreements about creating consortium for common equipment delivery are planned to sign on July of current year. The leader of consortium L&T will provide operative participation OJSC “Turboatom” in tenders will promote on orders delivery.
To Aleksandr Burakov’s mind, negotiations hold successfully and parties found mutual understanding.
Indian colleagues in turn pointed high quality of Kharkov turbines, installed at NPP "Kaiga – 3, 4" and "RAPP – 5, 6".
