28 Drilling Supervisors Successfully Graduated from TNK-BP Young Specialist Development Program

The young specialists are now on vacation. On July 30, upon receipt of certificates of successful completion of the Program, they will be employed by TNK-BP subsidiaries: TNK-Nyagan (2 supervisors), Orenburgneft (8), Samotlorneftegaz (6), Verkhnechonskneftegaz (4) and Rospan International (8).
The three-year specialist training program was launched in TNK-BP in 2006. Its participants are graduates of Russian oil and gas universities who are up to 30 years old. In 2009, the program was graduated by 18 specialists who successfully work in Company fields now.
According to Zinovy Kukhtyak, Program Manager, the young specialist got quality knowledge in drilling management and supervising over the last three years working in TNK-BP fields in Khanty-Mansiyskiy Autonomous Area – Yugra, Orenburg, Tyumen and Irkutsk regions. In its turn, TNK-BP provided the specialists with an extended social package including reimbursement of accommodation expenses to nonresident participants and health insurance and increased the salaries each year upon successful passage of exams.
‘An independent consulting company, ECOPSY, is auditing the Program now. However, we are certain there will be no fundamental changes to it. Starting from August 1, we will enroll new participants in the Program. We already selected 20 young specialists from among more than 100 contenders. They will improve drilling performance in TNK-BP subsidiaries after the three-year training’, Zinovy Kukhtyak said.
