Smolensk NPP: the June plan for power production was fulfilled by 103.6%

In June, 2010 power units of Smolensk NPP generated 1.443 billion KWh of electric power, the plan was fulfilled by 103.6%. Since the beginning of the year the NPP has produced 11.651 billion KWh of electric power.

At present, Smolensk NPP operates power units Nos. 1 and 3. Their total capacity is equal to 1960 mW. There are no claims concerning the equipment operation. Scheduled midlife repair of power unit No.2 is coming to its end; commissioning works are carried out in accordance with the schedule.
Radiation environment within the industrial site of Smolensk NPP and the adjacent territory did not change and corresponds to the naturalbackground values.
Smolensk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Every year SNPP contributes to the country electric power system at the average about 20 bln kilowatt-hours of electric power equal to almost 13% of power generated in Rosenergoatom Concern and to more than 80% of that generated by power plants of Smolenskaya region.
